The University Hospital of Tübingen is a leading center of German university medicine. Every year, around 75,000 inpatients and around 380,000 outpatients are treated. With over 11,000 employees, it is the largest employer in the region. The quality of patient care is certified with the KTQ seal of approval.

Claudia Günther is a dermatologist whose team investigates how innate immunity initiate autoimmune diseases. The group has a particular interest in autoinflammatory and autoimmune processes that are driven by chronically elevated type I interferon responses resulting from genetically determined disturbances in nucleic acid metabolism. Their research focuses on the role of chemokines, innate lymphocytes, and macrophages in the initiation and persistence of cutaneous inflammation in chronic autoimmune skin diseases. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate closely with teams at UKT and other locations, fostering the development of new research projects. Translational research stands at the heart of these efforts.
